Holly, NJ POSITION SUMMARYThe Manufacturing Manager must oversee and manage manufacturing. The position will be responsible for strategic planning to insure current and future business needs are met, as well as insuring day-to-day activities meet cost, service, and quality objectives. The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for overseeing both ASK and Right Heart Manufacturing operations PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES·        Develop weekly manufacturing schedules and manage attainment of schedule·        Lead lean initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency, effectively and velocity.·        Work with Corporate Planning to develop weekly planned orders·        Provide direction and assist with the supervision of the Material Control personnel·        Review and analyze machine, department, and work center capacity and communication findings to plant management and to Corporate Planning·        Identify bottlenecks and items that would inhibit the completion of schedule. Make recommendations to correct problems.  Evaluate man-hour requirements and make data-driven recommendations and the need for overtime·        With Supervisors, establish priorities of orders based on each department’s capacity to ensure due dates can be met. Adjust plan if possible to optimize the use of workforce and to minimize overtime·        Advise Materials Department of the priorities orders are to be released in each department. Sequence orders to reduce indirect cost associated with manufacturing (set-up time, clean up time, material handling, etc. Monitor system wide inventory levels of components at the next higher assembly·        Systematically maintain, review, and assure accuracy of MRP and CRP data within QAD and as per corporate procedure to include:·        Validate and update CRP data and Work Center fields·        Validate and update facility corporate calendar·        Update plant capacity on a quarterly basis·        Analyze and update lead time accuracy and scrap rates·        Perform other duties/projects as requested by department or Plant Manager·        Manages the Production and Packaging Departments, reviewing daily results, giving direction to the Supervisors and Phase Leaders to identify current and potential problems, and to develop corrective action plans.·        Defines department goals and objectives·        Monitors the scheduling of production orders to ensure that schedules create timely receipts into the finished goods inventory and personnel and assets are utilized to their full potential·        Insures adherence to company and G.M.P. policies·        Assures adherence to operating procedures and departmental standards·        Responsible for the introduction, development, forecasting, and implementation of cost reduction initiatives (in conjunction with the Engineering Department)·        Participate in new product development and the implementation of product revisions·        Provides other department support as requested by immediate supervisor. | ||||
